Motivation is a funny thing – sometimes you’ve got it, and sometimes you need a little help. And October is one of those months where I usually need a little help. The weather is turning cooler, the stores are selling all things pumpkin, and I just want to burrow down under my down comforter, turn on the TV, and hibernate until March.
Sadly, I have two more races this year, which means that instead of snuggling in my bed, I need to run. A lot.
Enter the 100 mile challenge:
This month, I challenge you to join me in accumulating 100 miles of running and walking over the next 31 days. Call it an incentive, a carrot, or just a pre-emptive strike against the upcoming holiday season – just get out there and get moving!
100 miles is just a little over 3 miles per day. And everything counts – running, walking, shuffling, skipping – whatever foot-based activity you want to do to cover 100 miles in 31 days. If you use an activity monitor to keep tabs on your step count, you can include those miles too! The goal is to get you up and moving whenever possible.
And just to make it easier, I made you a printable chart to track your progress! To get it, CLICK HERE.
Feel free to post your progress on Facebook, Instagram and #Twitter with the hashtags #RunningWithCurves and #RWC100MileChallenge!
