Welcome to our Rebels on the Run Blog! I am so excited to be able to connect with all of you in yet another way (other than Facebook, our coaching calls, and when I get to be on the podcast) and share the trials and tribulations of my training and my life.
About Jen
But first, a little about me. I began working as a coach with Jill since the fall of 2018 but have been a Rebel Runner with her since I started back on the running and mental health path in the summer of 2016. The Run Your Best Life community and Jill’s coaching (both running and life coaching) changed my life, and all I could think of is, “How can I give back?” So here I am now, working for all of you to help you on your journey (and help myself on mine)!
I have been an on-again, off-again runner since 2001 and am permanently on again, using running as a mechanism to live my best life. Not just physically, but mentally, too. Because you see, running is not just a physical feat, but (maybe even more so) a mental one. Once I figured out that secret sauce, my life was forever transformed. So now running is as much a part of my daily life as showering, brushing my teeth, and cooking. Oh, yeah, I am also a chef and published cookbook author and am passionate about all things food. From running fuel to a 4-star fine dining experience, I can—and do—do it all!
What to expect from my Rebels on the Run blog posts
Over the next several months, I will share my successes and failures (oh so many failures)—and maybe a few recipes here and there—as I train for two half marathons (Seattle and Savannah) and a trail Ragnar and run my best life as a mom to four-year-old Ike, wife to Mike (yes, they are Mike & Ike), and coach to you!
I am not training to win any of these races, but I am training to win at life—using running as my way to do it! Buckle up, because it’s going to be bumpy but also fun as hell!
See you on the path,
Jen
