Running Shirtless in my Raspberry Zest Enell

A few days ago, Enell debuted their best color yet (IMHO) – the limited edition Raspberry Zest. A two-tone combo of raspberry and tangerine, this is one fierce sports bra:

As soon as I unwrapped this beauty, all I could think was ‘Damn, it’s too bad nobody will see this gorgeous bra while I’m wearing it!’ Because, you know, I’m not a big fan of prancing about in public in my underwear – unless I’m snorkeling in Costa Rica, of course. 

One of the reasons I don’t run without a shirt is purely practical – wearing something over my bra keeps arm-chafing to a minimum, and unless it’s over 60 degrees outside, a shirt – at least a tank – is necessary for warmth. But it would have to be pretty warm outside for me to take off my shirt and just run in my Enell, and even then I think I’d be really self-conscious. Yes, I’ve gained a lot of body confidence over the years but I’m not sure I’m quite to the point of running in just a sports bra. Someday, yes. But today is not that day.

When I do become one of those women, however, the Raspberry Zest is without question the bra I will wear! Here is my vow to you:

I *will* get over myself and go for a run this summer in just my sports bra. It might be in my neighborhood, or on a local trail, but it *will* be in public and it *will* be at least 10 minutes in duration. There might even be pictures.

It’s gonna happen, and…I invite all of you to join me! Let your gorgeous running bras see the light of day!

And while I continue to work up the courage to wear it out of the house with just a pair of running tights, I can still wear it with a black  tank to show off my awesome taste in running bras:
